Join us for a conversation that began in September 2021 with RAD: Doing Better with What We Have Learned and continued in April 2022 with Living in the Deep End. Next up is an interactive Q & A session that will address your questions and comments, generated from these webinars, and/or your lived experience. Deena McMahon and Maude LeRoux will offer approaches from different perspectives, geared toward greater understanding of children with trauma and attachment challenges. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Deena McMahon, MSW, LICSW, has spent 40 years working with children and families who have experienced profound trauma, loss, and marginalization. She is an expert in attachment dynamics, adoption, sexual abuse, and developmental trauma. She also has extensive experience working with tribal communities statewide and nationally.
Maude Le Roux, OTR/L, is an international trainer in a variety of different courses. She is SIPT certified and specializes in Sensory Integration services as it applies to functional activities of daily living, including improving the ability of children / students of all ages to partake in his/her learning environment. Sensory Integration is the base for all her work in children and adults. She serves on the board for ATTACh where her portfolio includes providing training opportunities for occupational therapists with regards to attachment and trauma informed care. Maude is a mentor to many therapists, including OT and DIR professionals internationally. She has presented at conferences in a variety of settings in the US as well as internationally. She has co-authored the book, The Listening Journey, with Francoise Nicoloff, and her second book, Our Greatest Allies, is available on Amazon.com.
