I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) currently practicing as a Clinical Program Manager at Fraser’s collaboration with Head Start. In this capacity, I manage a day treatment classroom, supervise clinical staff, and see outpatient clients. Fraser is a multi-site clinic that provides a wide range of outpatient pediatric services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, day treatment, and mental health services.

I have completed advanced training via the University of Minnesota’s Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate program (2017-2018), as well as the Circle of Security Parenting Program model in 2016. I have experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and preschool mental health day treatment. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidenced-based intervention to assist children in processing past traumas. I am certified in TI-CPP, an evidenced-based intervention to assist young children (under age 6) and their caregivers process past trauma.

My primary practice has been with young children, with diagnoses including Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I believe that adoption/foster care is a complex process with lifelong impacts. In it, there are many joys, successes, and reasons for celebration, but also grief, loss, and separation that must be addressed. I rely heavily on the power of relationships and attachment to assist clients in working through past stressors and trauma in order to achieve a fully integrated sense of self. I know that the many ups and downs can be stressful and difficult for families, so I strive to help families see the positive changes that are possible and strengths they have as a unit.
