(October 2021) This workshop will provide information on how COVID has impacted the mental health of children and adolescents. It will also provide information on how COVID has impacted parents. Specific clinical examples will be provided and techniques to help support children through this difficult time/transition will also be provided.

Heather Siek, Psy.D. LPCC is a licensed outpatient therapist at The Village Family Service Center in Moorhead, MN. Heather obtained her undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University in Psychology and Child Development. She obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She primarily works with children, adolescents, and families. Her specialty is working with childhood trauma, anxiety, and children with behavioral difficulties. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy. Heather is also an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead in the Psychology department and serves on the North Dakota Family Based Association Board. Heather is also an adoptive mom of a 2-year-old little girl.
