This workshop is designed to be an introduction to Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and its uses with adoptive/foster families. As a professional, working with foster and adoptive families can be trying at times with the varying degrees and differing approaches and theories. However, PCIT has emerged as being very effective in the prevention of out of home placements. It has also been helpful in improving parent/child relationships. This workshop will cover all of the benefits of this innovative therapeutic approach.
Brandon Jensen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Board Approved Supervisor, an Adjunct Professor, a Prepare/Enrich Seminar Director, and a Permanency and Adoption Competent Clinician. Brandon provides therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He has completed training through the University of Minnesota Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate program to specialize in working with pre and post adopted individuals and families. Brandon uses a strength-based approach, empowering individuals, couples, and families to improve their lives.
